The CGPA is obtained as the ratio of all the credit points
accumulated since entering the University to the total number of
units registered for since coming into the University. In other
words, the CGPA is equal to the cummulative credit points(CCP),
divided by the cummulative load units(CLU), thus;
CCP/CLU = CGPA.
Note: All CGPA calculations are to two decimal
places.
For Example:
For 1st Semester:
TCP = 26
TNU = 23
For 2nd Semester:
TCP = 18
TNU = 25
So;
CCP = TCP (For 1st
Semester) + TCP (For 2nd Semester)
= 26 + 18 = 44
CLU = TNU (For 1st Semester) + TNU (For 2nd
Semester)
= 23 + 25 = 48
So; CGPA = CCP/CLU = 44/48 =
0.92
